As we are now going into Autumn and the days are getting shorter and colder many households will be going to put their heating on but worrying. I am hoping to speak to the correct person at your Parish Council regarding the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG] or Local Authority Grant (LAD3) and how we could help make local low-income residents make their homes more energy efficient.
I am working closely with Norfolk Warm Homes to identify low-income residents in North Norfolk that may be eligible for energy efficiency works. If a resident is a homeowner who has a household income of £30,000 or less, less than £50,000 in saving and an EPC of E, F or G they may be eligible for a fully funded grants that covers the below measures –
- Internal wall insulation
- External wall insulation
- Loft insulation
- Cavity wall insulation
- Roof in roof / flat roof insulation
- Air source heat pump
If the resident is a tenant and they fit in this criteria they may be eligible for a grant that covers up to 65% of the costs.
I was hoping that you may be able to let residents know about this by posting on your social media, posting in your local magazines, and advising residents at your local parish council meetings or if you can think of any other may to let residents know what is available.
